Portable Ultrasonic Flow Meter - The TF1100-EP portable ultrasonic
flow meter is used to measure liquid flow in a full or closed pipe.
This portable ultrasonic flow meter is designed with ease of
operation, high accuracy and outstanding reliability. This
ultrasonic flow meter comes as a complete system with everything
you need right out of the box to start measuring flow. Theory of
Operation The TF1100-EP uses two transmitters that function as both
an ultrasonic transmitter and receiver. The transducers are clamped
on the outside of a pipe at a specific distance from one another.
The flow meter operates by alternately transmitting and receiving a
modulated burst of sound energy between the transducers and
measuring the transit time it takes for the sound to travel between
the transducers. The difference in transit time measured is
directly and exactly related to the velocity of liquid in the pipe.
